Dallas Skyline Rains Purple In Honor Of Prince

The color last night in Dallas was not blue and green for the Mavs or Red and Blue for the Rangers, it was purple for in honor of the death of Prince.

The singer, known for numerous hits including “Kiss,” “When Doves Cry,” and “Purple Rain,” died at his Paisley Park studio April 21, 2016. The cause of death has not yet been identified, although last Friday Prince reportedly had the flu and was hospitalized.

The Dallas-Fort Worth paid their respects Thursday night by illuminating the city in purple lights.
