Van Terry dove over a table to grab Michael Madison, the man convicted of murdering his daughter. The Ohio serial killer was sentenced to death moments before Terry’s dive.
Unfortunately for Terry, police were able to stop him before he grabbed Madison’s throat.
How are you doing, your honor, my name is Van Terry, father of Shirellda Terry,” he said at a podium in the courtroom. “Right now, I guess we’re supposed to, in our hearts, forgive this clown.”
Terry started, “He touched our families, taking my town …” Family members told WJW-TV Madison was smiling and taunting his three victims’ loved ones during the hearing.
With the obvious taunting, Terry pushed away the podium and attacked Madison, but was stopped by the courtroom bailiff. Audience members cried out “No! No! No!” and “Oh my God!”
Terry’s daughter was only 18-years-old when Madison murdered her in 2013. He was also convicted last month of killing two other women, 38-year-old Angela Deskins and 28-year-old Shetisha Sheeley. He left their bodies in trash bags.
