If you don’t mind a giant Texas line, you can ride North America’s largest Ferris Wheel for free this week. Fair Park this weekend will open the 212 foot Texas Star which usually costs $8 to ride, is giving out a free ride as a part of their 80th anniversary celebration of the Texas Centennial Exposition this week.
The celebration will also include a free festival at Fair Park June 8-11. There will be concerts, games and rides, a speakeasy, children’s play area, water activities, historical exhibits and fireworks.
Another amazing thing about this event is you can get Fletcher’s corny dogs on June 10 and 11. This is the first time you can get the tasty treats outside of the State Fair.
