The store in Cologne, Germany now has a “Barking Lot” for your four-legged best friend to hang out while you shop.
The outdoor space is built for people to drop off their dogs so they do not stay in hot cars. The space is arranged with platforms covered in AstroTurf, with water bowls and a hitching post to park your pup while you shop.
Like many stores, Ikea’s policy only lets guide dogs inside. If dog owners put the dog parking lot to use, other retailers may catch on.
