Wednesday morning, Federal Aviation Administration suspended operations at DFW International Airport due to a threat on the property near the air traffic control tower.
Sources told NBC News said a person is barricaded inside a car in the east parking lot near East Airfield Drivearound 10 a.m.
The minivan was being chased by police as it went down the airport grounds. The woman has not yet been identified. SWAT has now responded to the scene.
Lynn Lunsford with the FAA said, “briefly suspended operations on the east side” but that operations have since resumed. Fewer than 10 flights were delayed said Lunsford.
