Oops! A TSA checkpoint at La Guardia Airport in New York let at least 15 passengers passed through without being searched because someone forgot to plug in the security scanner, said The Post.
“Our nation’s security is dependent upon whether or not a TSA screener plugs in the screening machine,” law-enforcement official said.
“There has to be a better way.”
The issue was discovered around 8 a.m. Sunday inside Terminal D by TSA Agent Eva Cocoli, according to The Post.
The checkpoint was ordered closed, while Port Authority cops tracked down nine of the unscanned fliers, but were unable to locate the rest.
It took at least an hour to find the passengers and bring them back to scan them at checkpoints, according to officials.
“It was a big inconvenience,” said a woman who was among the nine found and screened again.
Surveillance footage, determined that at least six other passengers were never found and scanned again.
