$6 Million Worth of Marijuana Crop Found in Southeast Texas, 5,200 Plants in Total Raided

How fast can you drive to southeast Texas, because nearly $6 million of marijuana plants were growing until Tuesday in Palestine, Texas.

A task force of over 30 officers from multiple southeast Texas counties busted a huge marijuana crop off of County Road 336.

The Sheriff’s Office said that 5,200 marijuana plants in total were discovered on the property.

The plants are being destroyed by local, state and federal agencies.

No arrests have been made in the case.

The officers “believe these fields are being produced by drug cartels from Mexico; the same task force has conducted several raids over the summer in several east Texas counties,” Sheriff Gregg Taylor said.
